Summitter (Prototype)

This is the first prototype of the 'Summitter' knives that I will be making for our team as we battle the elements on the slopes of Mount Everest and continue on to the highest peaks of all seven continents. The final version will likely have a bit of a shorter, stouter blade and will be produced of more durable and rugged materials including a stainless steel blade, micarta handle slabs and Kydex sheathes. This knife was designed purely as a tool...the rope/line cutter on the top of the blade provides ease of cutting pesky tangled ropes. The butt end of the knife is tapered so it can be used as a pry bar, but still has a thickened bottom point for use as a hammer if needed. The ergonomic handle design feels great in the hand in either forward or reverse grips and the slightly lengthened handle is designed to still give good grip with a gloved hand.
