Khukri Knife (Prototype)
This prototype Khukri Knife was inspired by the traditional Nepalese blades used for centuries for everything from clearing brush on the farm to fighting in wars. The blade finds its heritage in the Falcata sword; a short, forward curved blade first seen in ancient Greece and later migrating into the hands of the Spanish. The unique forward curved blade allows for exceptional cutting power while transferring very little of the recoil to the handle.
This piece features a handle of beautiful cocobolo wood accented by brass bolsters. As some aspects of the blade design and the choice of wood is not traditional to the Nepali style blades...I am not Nepali...therefore this knife has a bit of MY influence as well ;~) While this piece was a prototype and is not available for sale, I can craft more of similar design upon request!
